And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto His disciples, “Why eateth your master with publicans and sinners?”
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Teacher with the publicans and sinners?
When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, “Why does your Master eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, Why does your Master eat with tax collectors and those [preeminently] sinful?
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
But when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
When the P’rushim saw this, they said to his talmidim, “Why does your rabbi eat with tax-collectors and sinners?”
Some Pharisees asked Jesus' disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and other sinners?”
And the Pharisees seeing [it], said to his disciples, Why does your teacher eat with tax-gatherers and sinners?
And having seen it, the Pharisees were saying to His disciples, “For what reason is your Teacher eating with the tax-collectors and sinners?”
And the Pharisees seeing it, said to his disciples: Why doth your master eat with publicans and sinners?
The Pharisees saw that Jesus was eating with these people. They asked his followers, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and other sinners?”
Some Pharisees saw what was happening. They said to Jesus' disciples, ‘Your teacher is eating a meal with these bad people. That is not right. They are people who do not obey God, and some of them take taxes from people.’
When the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
When the Pharisees saw this, they asked Jesus’ ·followers [disciples], “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors [C despised because they worked for the Roman rulers and were notorious for corruption and extortion] and sinners?”
And when the Pharisees saw that, they said to his disciples, Why eateth your Master with Publicans and sinners?
The Pharisees saw this and asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
Some Pharisees saw this and asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with such people?”
When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
The Pharisees saw this and asked Jesus’ followers, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?”

Later, as Jesus was in the house sitting at the dinner-table, a good many tax-collectors and other disreputable people came on the scene and joined him and his disciples. The Pharisees noticed this and said to the disciples, “Why does your master have his meals with tax-collectors and sinners?” But Jesus heard this and replied, “It is not the fit and flourishing who need the doctor, but those who are ill! Suppose you go away and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice’. In any case I did not come to invite the ‘righteous’ but the ‘sinners’.”
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why does your Master eat with publicans and sinners?

And when they saw it, the Pharisees began to say to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
The Pharisees were indignant. “Why does your teacher associate with men like that?”
Later when Jesus was eating supper at Matthew’s house with his close followers, a lot of disreputable characters came and joined them. When the Pharisees saw him keeping this kind of company, they had a fit, and lit into Jesus’ followers. “What kind of example is this from your Teacher, acting cozy with crooks and misfits?”
When the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

The proud religious law-keepers saw this. They said to the followers of Jesus, “Why does your Teacher eat with men who gather taxes and with sinners?”
But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with such scum?”
